Bio:

Saugata Ghose is a Systems Scientist in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. He is a member of the SAFARI Research Group, led by Dr. Onur Mutlu. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Cornell University in 2014, where he was the recipient of the NDSEG Fellowship and the ECE Director’s Ph.D. Teaching Assistant Award. He also received his M.S. from Cornell, and received dual B.S. degrees in Computer Science and in Computer Engineering from Binghamton University. His current research interests include application-and system-aware memory and storage systems, flash reliability, architectural solutions for large-scale systems, GPUs, and emerging memory technologies.
