Some of us don't believe a single connection is the right solution to achieve maximum throughput and focusing in on a strictly single connection objective especially if the fabric diameter is large (as some have suggested) is the wrong paradigm to pursue. Note: For hardware or software implementations, the cost of multiple connections is rather trivial to support in terms of resources and there are advantages w.r.t. QoS and other policies (e.g. multi-pathing through a fabric) that one can take advantage of with multiple connections. Nice write up. Thanks, Mike
