[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: Record-oriented transport> What has been the word on SCTP (RFC 2960)? It appears to offer a lot of the > record boundary functionality needed for iSCSI/TCP. The word is "do the TCP encapsulations first", at least, I believe that is the rough consensus of the WG. SCTP is well-done in a number of ways, but appears to need some time to settle (e.g., its checksum is in the process of being changed for the better), for implementations to become more widely available and for people to get serious about putting SCTP into hardware. --David (WG co-chair) --------------------------------------------------- David L.
