As I understand it, we have two main areas of concern. One is the cost assosciated with getting necessary licenses. This cost includes both determining whom we need to get licenses from (having the lawyer determine what patents do and don't apply), and also paying said patent holders for licenses. The other is logisitics. We have been asked to supply an iSCSI implementation to our customer who in turn wants to sell that to end users or VARs. If we do end up needing to get licenses, we would want licenses that mean all the other parties don't need to also get licenses.
