[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: iSCSI: Command Sequence Number (Single Connection Session)Lakshmi, The question we asked ourselves is: is there a reason not to? And since we did not find one we did not make any exception. Julo
On Page 36 in Rev13: "On any given connection, the iSCSI initiator MUST send the commands in increasing order of CmdSN, except for commands that are retransmitted due to digest error recovery and connection recovery." Targets handle out of order CmdSN on multiple connection sessions as long as the CmdSN is within the window (Expected and Max CmdSN). Is there a reason to have the above restriction (commands MUST be sent in increasing order of CmdSN) for a SINGLE connection session? thanks! -lakshmi
