[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: IPS WG Last Call: Structural Improvements> Alas, it seems this discussion will soon be 'overcome by events'. So I guess it falls to me to explain the forthcoming 'events'. The WG co-chairs have asked that the overviews of both Section 4 and Section 5 be expanded for clarity - as part of AD review and IETF Last Call, the draft will be read by people who have not been following the voluminous email discussions on the list and hence don't have the benefit of the WG's hard-won "accumulated wisdom". It makes sense to add text now to make the draft more accessible to such people. Brian's request for the expansion of the login overview in Section 4 is within reason, and there should be improvement in this area. For Section 5, it appears that moving the discussion of Error Recovery Levels and Hierarchy to the front of the session will address much of the corresponding concern. There will be some editing of the IANA Considerations text, but we won't know whether it's really right until IANA reviews it, and that won't happen for a while yet. Beyond, this, your WG co-chairs believe that wholesale changes in terminology, format and structure of sections are not necessary at this point in time.
