The authors also reviewed the iSNS MIB for consistency with the latest iSNS revision -15. Several items came up, with the following technical changes: - added the isnsDdPortalTable. This table contains Portal indexes that have been explicitly added to a Discovery Domain (DD). Normally, as defined in the iSNS Specification, all Portals of a Storage Node are contained within a DD. However, the iSNS protocol now provides the ability to add individual Portals of a Storage Node to a DD. This is for situations where it is desired to route traffic through the specified Portal. This MIB modification allows the use of SNMP to view and modify Portals that have explicitly been added to a DD. - the EntityProtocolId enumerated type 1 was changed from "Protocol Neutral" to "No Protocol" - the ServerDiscoveryId enumerated type 2 was changed from "Unicast Config" to "Address Config" Other changes were: - added REFERENCE sections to MIB variables indicating the iSNS Specification section that corresponds with the variable - added additional text to clarify the iSNS objects that are managed. - added text to clarify the setting a bit value to true (1) indicates the feature is enabled - separated the draft specification references into normative and informative The following link is to a pdf version of the MIB for use prior to the official posting of the specification. www.nishansystems.com/ietf/draft-ietf-ips-isns-mib-03.pdf Regards, Kevin
