[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: iSCSI: Extension Keys in Discovery ModeYes it means what it says. We wanted to limit the number of keys that can be used during discovery and to limit discovery to a minimum. Many of us also felt that "discover" in the management sense should be approached with a different mechanism and leverage commonality with other service discovery mechanisms. Julo
I'm looking at spec 0.19, section 12.22, and it says "Vendor specific keys MUST ONLY be used in normal sessions." 1) Am I correct that it means that it is also illegal to pass vendor specific keys during LOGIN if the session is going to be Discovery? 2) Does anybody know why this requirement is in the spec? Thanks, Russ Lewis
