I'm confused. Are we talking about what an implementer can make available, or what an initiator will permit an administrator choose? If we're talking about what an implementer makes available, wouldn't that ("me or None") be violating the, "CHAP is MUST," requirement? If we're talking about what an administrator can choose, since the admin can choose just, "None," why are we worried about a proprietary algorythm; that's the admin's choice. Take care, Bill
