[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Nit in Naming & Discovery docAppendix A of the Naming & Discovery draft 9 provides an example iqn of: iqn.2001-04.com.example:diskarray.sn.8675309.oracle_db_1 This has been interpreted by some avidly reading developers that underscores are valid characters in an iqn. In turn this causes problems if you try and present this to SLP as an attribute. The iSCSI document is explicit in not listing the underscore as a valid character and obviously this document takes precedence. Can we please change the above example in the Naming & Discovery document for the next iteration ? Interestingly enough, there are no rules about the allowable characters for an alias. But SLP will also barf if an alias name contains an underscore character. Cheers, Mark.
