Thanks for reminding us (4 times - now
that the list is up it is sending everything in duplicae - or only to me).
The only record I had was a note from
Bob Russell that now since we are moving to RFC perhaps we would like to
move finally to 1.
I find this both reasonable and in line
with the desire of premature extinction of non RFC versions.
I am not going to comment on this anymore
untill I hear from David Black (I have no strong bias eitherway). 
David mentioned a single voice for change
- Andre; with  Bob Russell we have at least 2.
The note from Bob is temperate and related
to the interoperability Lab experience.
I don't think that this will break implementation
but if it does better now than later.
