Overview
NetApp’s Advanced Technology Group (ATG) has a few open positions for the coming year including:
- full-time engineer
- summer internship,
- post doc research.
These positions are further detailed below.
Position and Requirements
Recent University Graduate:
Recently received PhD or Masters, target start date around May 2017, preferred location is Sunnyvale CA, but Waltham MA, or Raleigh Triangle Park NC are options.
Responsible for researching, prototyping, and evaluating new ideas. We work directly with internal product groups to apply these ideas to existing and future products, thus having a directional impact on the storage industry.
Summer Intern:
PhD/MS students for summer of 2017, locations are Sunnyvale CA, Waltham MA, and Raleigh Triangle Park NC.
As an intern in ATG, you will have the opportunity to work with a mentor performing cutting-edge research while working with real storage products. Individual projects will be decided on a case-by-case basis with input from the intern.
Post Doc Research Fellow:
PhD graduate, for hire now for 1.5-year contract with possible renewal per future funding, located in Munich, Germany. Work abroad opportunity, NetApp can help with locating housing.
This position requires an exceptional individual that is able to make independent, significant scientific cutting edge cloud networking contributions and can prototype and evaluate them in the context of cloud systems. A high degree of creativity, self-motivation, analytic thinking and scientific rigor are essential in this position, as are good communication and team working skills.
